Praghosa Dasa, a native of Dublin, Ireland, joined the ISKCON Soho Street temple in London in 1983. A year later he received the initiation from Satsvarupa Dasa Goswami. Services he has done since the beginning of his devotional life include distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books, raising funds, and managing temples and restaurants. He is an active contributor to ISKCON’s website Dandavats.com and the driving force behind it. In 1997 he became a deputy GBC member and in 2001 a full GBC member. His areas of responsibility cover: the Channel Islands, Denmark, England, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, and Wales, and, additionally, he assists as a co-zonal secretary for ISKCON’s headquarters in Mayapur, West Bengal, India. He is married and has two sons, Sankarsana and Pancajanya.
