Mahaprabhu Dasa

Mahaprabhu Dasa was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1963, as the son of Julia Anorga and a well-known artist Jose Gurvich. He studied Political Science at Syracuse University, USA, and joined the Hare Krishna Movement in 1982 in Paris, France. Mahaprabhu das performed many different services in the Movement and at present moment is ISKCON’s Communications director for Europe, executive director of the Hindu Forum of Belgium, president of the Museum of Sacred Art Foundation based in Belgium, and president of the Jose Gurvich Foundation that runs a state-owned and subsidised museum of his father called the Museo Gurvich in Montevideo, Uruguay. He has an extensive experience in Interfaith Dialogue and in the field of spiritual/sacred art.
