Tapas Dasa

Tapas Dasa was born in Bergen, Norway. He took up Krishna consciousness in 1980 and joined the ashrama at Korsnas Gard, Sweden in January 1982. He was initiated in 1983 by Harikesh prabhu. He served in Norway and Sweden in different capacities as a temple devotee, a book distributor, and a sankirtan leader. After the brahmacari ashram, he got married in 1997. From 1997 to 98 his main service was with ISKCON Communications Sweden, and after that, he assumed responsibility for the Hare Krishna centre and New Brahmakund apartment house. Since 1999 he has been serving as a temple president of ISKCON Stockholm. He has been a member of the Swedish National Council since 2000 and a member of the Euro RGB since 2001. Since 2019 also serves as Regional Supervisor for the urban Iskcon centres.
