Mahabhavi Dasa first met the devotees in Oslo in 1990, and shortly after he joined ISKCON ashrama in Oslo and served as a full-time book distributor. After some years he got married and served as the cook in the Oslo Hare Krishna restaurant before he started working as a teacher of religion and mathematics in public high school. In 2018 he entered the vanaprastha ashrama and has since then served as the temple president of the new temple in Bergen city since 2018. He has been much involved with translation of Srila Prabhupadas books into Norwegian, especially the Bhagavad-gita that was published for the first time in Norwegian language in 2019. He is preaching in schools and colleges, organizing festivals and travels from time to time throughout the country with a small harinam-sankirtan group. He is the chairman of the national council of Norway.
